3rd Annual Trip

For our Clean Hands for Haiti third annual trip, we concentrated our efforts on the Community Center and the surrounding neighborhood.  Our hopes is that the Community Center will become a place that kids within the community can call a second home and a place where they can go to to escape their harsh lifestyle of Haiti.

Due to the general donations of our supporters, sponsors and volunteers, we were able to provide a running generator to fully run the Community Center, collect 22 brand new laptops for the center thanks to Mission Capital Advisors, and stock the center with school supplies, clothing, and books for the kids. Additionally, Cookies & More, INC offered to donate a year supply of healthy snacks to the CLH Community Center starting August 2016.

While in Haiti, our staff, volunteers, kids and community members came together to paint the wall outside the Community Center. The wall represents Light, Life, and Hope to the community of Carrefour, Bizoton in Haiti, and is a point of pride for the neighborhood.

We rebuilt the house for the family of one of the Clean Hands for Haiti Students of the Year. Fenelson's home was destroyed during the 2010 earthquake, and he and his family had been living with neighbors for the past siv years.

In a partnership with Basketball to Uplift the Youth of Haiti, we hosted a basketball clinic, health and dental triage, and gave away jerseys, balls, and medals to over 40 kids.
